Will Still will leave his role as Stade de Reims head coach with immediate effect.
Reims said in a statement on Thursday morning that it was decided that Still to leave the club at the end of the season and, “in order to allow (the club) to look ahead to the next financial year with peace of mind”, he will leave immediately.
The decision was taken following a meeting between Still, club chairman Jean-Pierre Caillot and managing director Mathieu Lacour.
Nicolas Still, Will’s brother who has been an assistant coach at Reims since June 2023, will also leave the club.
Still joined Reims as an assistant to Oscar Garcia in the summer of 2021. He left after four months for a coaching role at Standard Liege but returned at the end of the season. The 31-year-old then took interim charge when Garcia was sacked in October 2022, getting the job permanently following an unbeaten streak of five matches to begin his tenure.

Still rose to prominence for his success with Reims, who he steered to an 11th-place Ligue 1 finish which included an unbeaten run of 17 league matches, and due to the fact the club had to pay a £22,000 fine each time he managed a game due to the fact he did not hold a UEFA Pro License.
This season, Reims have again been around the middle of the pack and sit 11th with three matches remaining.
In February 2023, Still — who was born in Belgium to English parents — revealed that he was a West Ham United fan and would one day like to manage them.
Sunderland interviewed Still for their managerial vacancy in December 2023 but eventually appointed Michael Beale, who was sacked after only 12 games in charge.
In an interview with The Athletic earlier this year, Still said that managing in the Premier League “is the ultimate dream for any manager” but he would “love” to coach an ambitious Championship side.
