Manchester United have made an opening offer of £35million for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
The bid for the 21-year-old, which also includes £8m in add-ons, is viewed by Everton as unacceptable and is expected to be rejected in due course.
Branthwaite has emerged as one of United’s priority targets ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.
