Tata is one of the leading car manufacturers in the country, known for its build quality. Tata is also a leading electric car manufacturer in India now, currently offering the Nexon, Tigor, and Tiago EVs in the market. Recently, Tata unveiled the 2023 Nexon facelift to the world. Alongside the Nexon, the manufacturer is planning to launch the Nexon EV facelift in the market as well. The official launch of the Nexon EV is scheduled for September 14. Before the official launch, Tata has released a new teaser video for the electric SUV.
The video was shared by Tataev on their official YouTube channel. According to the video, the Nexon EV facelift will be unveiled on September 7, 2023. The video teases the upcoming electric SUV, showcasing a parked Tata Nexon EV and the electric SUV in motion. The design looks almost the same as the recently unveiled Nexon. However, a major difference is noticeable at the front. As this is an EV, the front grille is completely closed, and the lower portion of the body panels gets matte black plastic cladding.
The EV’s headlamps are projector LED units, with fog lamps placed just below them. The front of the car now features an LED light bar that connects the LED DRLs on the Nexon EV. Just above that is a gloss black cladding as well. This LED bar will clearly differentiate the ICE version from the EV. The video also provides a top-angle view of the car, revealing that the SUV comes in a dual-tone shade. The new LED tail lamps with a connecting LED bar can also be seen at the rear, maintaining the same design as the Nexon facelift.

Leaked images of the Nexon EV offer a closer look at the rear, which looks exactly the same as the regular version. The rear skid plate appears slightly different, and there is an EV badge on the tailgate. The car will come with front parking sensors, but it’s uncertain whether the SUV will have a 360-degree camera like the ICE version. The interior of the Nexon EV will also feature a design similar to the ICE version, although the color theme might differ from the regular version. It appears that Tata will offer the Nexon EV in more colors than the outgoing version.

A recently leaked image shows the SUV in a vibrant purple shade. According to online reports, the Nexon EV Prime will be known as Nexon EV MR (Medium Range), and the Nexon EV Max will be known as Nexon EV LR (Long Range) in the upcoming version. The Nexon EV facelift is likely to be offered with the same battery pack and range options. Customers can choose between a 30.2 kWh and a 40.5 kWh battery pack. The smaller battery pack will be offered with the medium-range variant, offering a claimed range of 312 km, while the other battery pack will provide a claimed driving range of 453 km. The manufacturer will unveil the SUV on September 7, with the official launch expected to take place on September 14.
