The trend for adding personalized and unique touches to your car is slowly catching up in India. In the past, we have covered multiple modifications which include Champagne Gold and Walnut interiors but today, we will talk about a Mahindra Scorpio N which has been modified with Cranberry red interior. Let’s dive into the details of the video.
The video is uploaded by VIG Auto Accessories on YouTube, and it shows us a modification job of the Z4 variant of the Mahindra Scorpio N finished in black. This project includes subtle changes to the exterior of the car with major changes in the interior.
The video starts with an introduction to the modification job. The host refers to this package as the Diamond Package. The most prominent change made under this package is the red colored interior.
Starting with the changes, the car’s wheels have been upgraded to 18-inch alloy wheels borrowed from the top-end variant of Scorpio N. Various chrome elements, including rain visors with chrome inserts, C-pillar chrome, waistline chrome, and chrome door handles, also complement the side profile. Overall, the chrome elements add a premium look to the side profile of the car.
At the front, the headlights have been replaced with LED units, again borrowed from the Z8 variant. These headlamps feature an LED projector setup along with sequential turn indicators. OEM fog lights with DRLs have also been added. The Scorpio-N’s Z4 variant misses out on chrome elements on the grille and the skid plates, which are also added, further increasing the visual appeal of the SUV.
After the exterior, the host talks about the interior changes made to the SUV. The most obvious difference is the theme of the interior, which has been changed to cranberry red and black from tan and black. The door pads have been leather wrapped which is complimented by glossy black interior styling kit. Bucket finish seat covers along with perforation have been added in the same colour combination. The dashboard has also been leather wrapped in cranberry red colour.
This not only adds soft touch materials at multiple places in the interior but also adds a luxury and unique vibe. Other changes include a cranberry red leather wrapped horn pad and a 9-inch infotainment system which comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
Usually, the host does not talk about the pricing of the project, but this time around, he has mentioned the total cost. The price for all the changes done to the car is Rs. 2,49,000. Please note that this price includes both the interior and exterior modifications.
The video clearly shows that the fit, finish and quality of the materials used is very nice. Although such modifications may require a lot of time and money, the end results are usually sweet. It is up to you to decide whether this modification job was worth the price.
The video concludes with feedback from the customer, who is very satisfied with the work. The customer mentions that he initially thought of Champagne Gold interior for his Mahindra Scorpio-N, but after seeing Cranberry red, he was more inclined towards this colour.
