Dortmund 2-1 St Pauli (Bensebaini, Guirassy; Smith)
Dortmund’s return after the international break played out very similarly to Real Madrid’s.
The main difference was that they were playing at home but they also scored first, courtesy of an excellent header from Ramy Bensebaini.
Then, like in the game between Real Madrid and Celta Vigo, there was a second-half equaliser. And it was a super 30-yard half volley from St Pauli’s Eric Smith that levelled the game.
Like Real Madrid, Dortmund found a winning goal soon after — Serhou Guirassy, the leading goalscorer in this season’s Champions League, headed in from six yards five minutes later to secure an important win.
