FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots are set to begin construction this month on a new standalone facility next to Gillette Stadium that is scheduled to open in the spring of 2026 and will house the day-to-day operations of the football team.

The Patriots’ current setup received poor marks in an anonymous NFLPA survey. In last year’s survey, the Patriots received an F for their weight room, a C- for their locker room and a C for their training room. According to the team, the new facility will include expansive areas for all three of those in addition to a nutrition center, hot tubs, cold tubs, an underwater treadmill, virtual reality rooms and a conference room for hosting the draft operation.
The new weight room will lead directly onto three redesigned practice fields. The team said players, coaches, training staff and other internal personnel provided input in the design of the new facility, which will more than double the square footage of the football operations at Gillette Stadium.
“The whole project is designed around the players and the player experience,” Kraft Sports and Entertainment chief operating officer Jim Nolan said in a statement. “As teams and team operations have grown, it was time for us to design a larger facility exclusively for the operation of the football team. The main floor is designed for where the players will work out, train, rehab, relax and eat. The top floor is designed for where players and coaches will watch game film, strategize and meet.”
