To provide stiffer competition to budget electric scooters and ICE scooters, Ola has slashed the pricing of the S1 X scooters. The company has announced that the S1 X scooters’ range will start at Rs. 69,999. It will come in three different variants with different battery pack options. There will be options of 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh battery packs. The company has also announced that deliveries will commence next week.
The S1 X range, as mentioned, will get three different battery pack options: 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh battery packs. As for the pricing, they will be priced at Rs. 69,999, Rs. 84,999, and Rs. 99,999, respectively.
In addition, the company has also announced new pricing for its S1 Pro, S1 Air, and S1 X+ electric scooters. From now on, these scooters have been priced at Rs. 1,29,999, Rs. 1,04,999, and Rs. 84,999.
Ola S1 X range
In terms of the driving range, the S1 X scooters, the IDC-certified range of the 4 kWh scooter is 190 km. Meanwhile, for the 3 kWh and 2 kWh scooters, it is 143 km, respectively. All of the scooters will come with a 6kW motor.
They will be able to do a sprint of 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds. The 4 kWh and 3 kWh scooters will have a top speed of 90 km/h. Meanwhile, the 2 kWh variant will have a top speed of 85 km/h and will do 0-40 km/h in 4.1 seconds.
All three scooters will come with three riding modes (Eco, Normal, Sports), and riders can switch between them seamlessly. Additionally, they will also come with a physical key, a feature which has been asked for by numerous Ola Electric customers in India.
Additionally, Ola Electric is also offering an 8-year/80,000 km extended battery warranty. This warranty will be offered for the entire range of products at no extra cost.
The company has also announced that interested customers can also opt for an add-on warranty and increase the upper limit of the kilometers traveled up to 125,000 km at a price of Rs. 4,999. Ola Electric has also introduced a portable fast charger accessory of 3KW with a price of Rs. 29,999.
In terms of design, the entire range of the Ola S1X comes equipped with the same design. The most affordable scooter lineup from Ola Electric comes with twin projector headlamps with LED DRL.
They also get a bigger headlight cowl, a single-piece seat, and the same curvy body. These scooters also get the same twin fork suspension on the front and dual shock absorbers in the rear. They also come equipped with steel wheels.
The top-spec S1 X will come with OTA updates, music control, remote boot lock/unlock, Bluetooth/GPS connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, cruise control, predictive maintenance, and Ola app control.
