Maruti Suzuki, India’s leading passenger vehicle exporter for two consecutive years, has set the wheels in motion for the export of the Jimny 5-Door, a beloved off-roader. The Jimny 5-Door, unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023, is a vehicle that wears the badge of ‘Make in India, for the world’ with pride. It is exclusively manufactured in India, marking a significant contribution to the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.
Maruti Suzuki initially began production of the 3-door Jimny back in November 2020, specifically for exports to regions such as Latin America and Africa. It wasn’t until June 2023 that the company introduced the Jimny 5-Door for the Indian domestic market.
