The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara was launched nearly two years ago to compete with the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq and the Kia Seltos. Carefully positioned in the compact SUV segment, the Grand Vitara managed to become quite popular mainly due to its fuel efficiency, value for money proposition, premium cabin and the brand image. The brand sold 1,00,000 units of the SUV in just 12 months and further managed to sell 2,00,000 units in a time span of less than two years.
In contrast, the Hyundai Creta which is on sale from 2015 took 25 months to achieve the sales mark of 2,00,000. Now, let’s talk about the yearly sales of the Grand Vitara.
In the FY2023, the brand sold 51,315 units of the SUV. Please note that this is just six months of sales as the car was launched near September end.
In the next FY2024 about 1,21,169 units of the Grand Vitara were sold which represents a significant increase in the sales numbers. In this FY2025, from the months of April to June about 27,066 units are sold.

Maruti Suzuki is a pretty old and trusted brand in the country with a wide network of dealer and service centers. One of the unique selling point (USP) of the Grand Vitara is its highly efficient hybrid system.
