In the past, we have seen people perform stunts in cars and on bikes on public roads for fame. Here, we have a video from Jaipur, Rajasthan, where a man dressed in a costume from the popular Netflix series ‘Money Heist’ was seen showering cash on a crowd while standing on top of a car.

The video was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter) online. In this video, we see a man standing on the roof of a Maruti Alto 800 hatchback. This incident occurred outside Gaurav Tower in Malviya Nagar, Jaipur. In the viral video, a man can be seen standing on the car’s roof on a busy road. The person is wearing a Salvador Dali mask inspired by the web series and is dressed in a costume worn by the character in the series. He is seen calling out to people while standing on top of the car.
He has a bag, and he opens the zipper to shower money on the crowd. Initially, people thought he was not throwing real currency, but they soon realized that the person was throwing Rs. 10 and Rs. 20 denomination currency notes to the public. People passing by on the road actually stopped to collect the notes. The person did create a traffic jam in the area as people halted their activities to go after the money. The video was recorded by a person passing through the same road but on the opposite side. The masked man can be clearly seen calling out to people to come and collect the money.

The video soon went viral, and the police, as usual, came across the video as well. They quickly traced the person and took action against him. The identity of the person who performed this stunt has not been revealed. He was interrogated by the officers, who later mentioned that the reason he did this stunt in public was to gain fame on social media. He was arrested on October 3, 2023. This is not the first time we have come across an incident like this. In most cases, people perform stunts on public roads using cars and bikes to gain attention and fame. They often forget that the police department has also upgraded its system and frequently uses social media and CCTV cameras to fine offenders.
In this case, something similar happened. According to reports, the man has been arrested under Section 151 of the Criminal Procedure Code, and the vehicle on which he was seen standing while throwing the notes at the crowd has also been seized. The person created inconvenience for other road users for the sake of publicity on social media.
