Movie actresses often look for luxury cars that offer a comfortable ride and a premium cabin. Mamta Mohandas, a popular actress from the Malayalam movie industry, is, however, different. She was the first actress from the industry to buy a Porsche 911 Carrera S sports car. It looks like she is a big-time Porsche fan and has now bought herself a brand new Porsche Taycan electric sports car.

The images of Mamta Mohandas’s car have surfaced online on various social media profiles. It looks like the image was first shared by Call of Cars, a detailing studio in Kochi. In these images, we only see the car; the actress is yet to be spotted with the car. It looks like Mamta had just bought the car and had brought it to the detailing studio.
The Porsche Taycan seen here in the video is finished in a Crayon shade. The Taycan is Porsche’s first attempt at making an electric sports car, and it looks like they have got the formula right. It is a four-door sports car that was introduced back in 2019. As per several online posts, Mamta Mohandas has bought this Taycan as a replacement for her bright yellow 911 Carrera S.
After its international debut in 2019, Porsche introduced the Taycan in India back in 2022. It is available in Taycan RWD, Taycan 4S, Taycan Turbo, and Taycan Turbo S variants in India. It is not known which exact variant of the Taycan Mamta went for. The Turbo and Turbo S variants have nothing to do with the engine but are simply variants. The price for a brand new Taycan starts at Rs 1.61 crore, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 2.44 crore, ex-showroom.
The top-end Turbo S variant gets an AWD system, while all other lower versions are 2WD variants. An electric motor is mounted on the front and rear axles that power the car. Both these motors generate a combined power of 761 Ps and 150 Nm of peak torque. Porsche has limited the top speed of the Taycan to 260 Kmph, and it can do a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 2.8 seconds.
Coming to Mamta’s car collection, other than the bright yellow Porsche Carrera S that she replaced with her new Taycan, she also has a BMW Z4 convertible sports car. The actress took delivery of her new BMW Z4 earlier this year.
The car is finished in a beautiful Thundernight Metallic shade. She bought the M40i variant, which comes with Cerium Grey painted grille and mirror caps, as well as a trapezoidal exhaust system.
The BMW Z4 is powered by a 3.0-liter, in-line six-cylinder, twin-turbocharged petrol engine, generating 335 Bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque. The car is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and can do a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 250 Kmph. Mamta Mohandas is quite a petrolhead, and we really want to know the reason why she replaced the 911 Carrera S.
It is quite possible that the actress upgraded to the Taycan as it has 4 doors and does not compromise on performance. With the new Porsche Taycan, she can enjoy the thrill of driving without compromising on space or comfort. Other than Mamta Mohandas, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor also owns a Taycan S. Another actress from Bollywood Shraddha Kapoor also owns a Lamborghini Huracan.
