Mahindra’s newly launched XUV 3XO is available in 25 variants, which may confuse buyers. Today, with the help of a YouTube video uploaded by The Car Show, we will understand the differences between the SUV’s MX3 and MX3 Pro variants. Let’s delve into the details of each car.
The video shows two cars. The one on the right is the MX3 variant finished in Everest White, while the other is the MX3 Pro variant finished in a unique shade of Nebula Blue.
The front fascia of both variants is exactly the same.
The only additional features the MX3 Pro offers over the MX3 variant are DRLs and LED projector headlights. The MX3 variant features LED parking lights instead of the DRLs and halogen projectors. Both the variants miss out on front parking sensors and fog lights.
At the side, both cars drive on the same set of 16-inch steel rims. However, the MX3 Pro variant offers more premium-looking wheel caps, which give the illusion of alloy wheels.

The MX3 Pro variant comes with connected taillights, which the MX3 does not offer. The connected taillight completely elevates the car’s look. Both variants offer a single-pane sunroof but miss out on a rear spoiler, roof rails, and shark fin antenna.
The host mentions that the interior of both the variants is exactly the same. Both the variants offer features such as manual AC, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity, cruise control, steering mounted multimedia controls, steering modes and much more. An important feature which both the variants do not offer is driver’s seat height adjustment.
Summing up, the only differences between both the variants is DRLs, LED headlights, wheel caps and rear connected taillight. Now, let’s talk about the pricing and power figures of both variants.
Mahindr XUV 3XO and 3XO Pro Pricing
The MX3 with the petrol engine option and manual transmission is priced at Rs. 9.49 lakhs. On the other hand, the MX3 Pro variant, priced at Rs. 9.99 lakhs, comes at a premium of Rs. 50,000. The price difference is the same for diesel variants. The MX3 diesel MT costs Rs. 10.89 lakhs, while the MX3 Pro diesel MT costs Rs. 11.39 lakhs.
Regarding the engine options, the XUV 3XO is powered by the same three engines as the XUV 300. This includes two petrol and one diesel engine option. The petrol engines comprise a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol unit, which produces 110 PS & 200 Nm, and a more powerful 1.2-litre TGDi turbo-petrol engine option, which delivers 130 PS and 250 Nm of torque.
The sole diesel engine option is a 1.5-litre engine delivering 117 PS & 300 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and automatic. The petrol engines are available with a 6-speed AT, while the diesel engine is controlled by a 6-speed AMT. However, the TGDi turbo-petrol engine is not available in both the MX3 and MX3 Pro variants.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO – in its former XUV300 avatar – has been the benchmark for driving performance in the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment, and the new SUV takes this further. Rivals of the XUV 3XO include the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
