Pitt swapped California pads with oil heiress Aileen Getty earlier this year, and according to his home’s former owner—who also happens to be Elvira, Mistress of the Dark—the Los Feliz dwelling he handed Getty the keys to earlier this year has been the site of some paranormal activity. “I’ve seen people walking around upstairs, for example, real people just walking,” Elvira, a.k.a. Cassandra Peterson, told People of her time at the Craftsman-style abode. “One time [a ghost was] sitting downstairs in front of the fireplace, once walking into my bedroom and back out. We saw a person floating around at the bottom of the pool, things like that.” Apparently, Pitt was unfazed by the idea of a presence in the abode. Peterson said that when she explained the happenings to the Oscar winner, he allegedly responded, “Oh, that’s so awesome.” Perhaps being a big enough fan of the home’s mahogany panels and copper ceilings meant he was willing to overlook some ghostly disturbances.
