Earlier in September, Kawasaki India launched the Ninja ZX4R superbike in India with a price tag of Rs 8.49 lakh. This made the new Ninja ZX4R India’s first in-line four-cylinder motorcycle. Also, it currently takes the crown of being the most expensive 400cc motorcycle in India as well. Recently, a video of the country’s first Kawasaki Ninja ZX4R was shared online. The YouTuber shows the bike and tells all about this unique superbike.
The video of India’s first-ever Kawasaki Ninja ZX4R has been shared on YouTube by BikeWithGirl on their channel. The video starts off with the presenter buzzing with excitement and showing off the all-new Ninja ZX4R. She mentions that this is currently the fastest 400cc motorcycle in the world. After the brief introduction, the presenter states that it is one of those bikes that she’d love to own one day. She added that she, however, is on the fence between the ZX4R and the ZX6R, which could also be coming to India in the near future.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX4R Design
Following the introduction, she begins with her thoughts on the overall design of the motorcycle. She mentions that although this bike looks extremely beautiful, it boasts the same design as its other Ninja siblings in the lineup. She then adds that another thing which she does not enjoy is its simple black color. She states that this bike could have come in green color, and it would have looked very bright. The presenter also added that if she bought this bike, she will definitely be wrapping it.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX4R Engine
Moving on, she then shows the main highlight of this motorcycle. The presenter squats down to show the glorious 399cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke inline-four-cylinder powerplant. She adds that this engine, which comes equipped with some of the most beautiful headers, produces a maximum and impressive power output of 76 bhp at 14,500 rpm. This bike also generates a maximum of 39 Nm of torque at 13,000 rpm. Additionally, with the assistance of ram air, this engine can produce an increased output of 79 bhp at 14,500 rpm.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX4R Exhaust and other details
Following the engine specifications, the presenter turns on the motorcycle to present the sound produced by this magnificent engine. She starts and lightly revs the bike and mentions that even with a stock exhaust, this bike sounds heavenly. She also mentions that the redline of this bike is 16,000, which is absolutely mind-bending. She states that for reference, the most popular Ninja H2 has a redline of 14,000. Lastly, she adds that she is not revving it any higher because the bike is brand new.
Next up, she shows the 4.3-inch digital instrument on the handlebar of the superbike. She mentions that it comes equipped with Bluetooth connectivity and has four riding modes: Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider. Following this, she mentions that this bike comes with a steel trellis frame. Additionally, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX4R features an upside-down fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. As for the braking duties, they are handled by dual 290 mm discs at the front paired with Nissin 4-piston calipers and a 220 mm disc at the rear. The Ninja ZX4R also comes with dual-channel ABS.
