Hailey and Justin Bieber have already set a high standard for not-quite-matching outfits and wacky-yet-tasteful accessories throughout their relationship, but Hailey Bieber raised the bar yet again when she showed up to her GQ Hype shoot wearing one the most coveted timepieces on the planet: the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak.

In addition to her classic Saint Laurent sunnies and cozy-yet-stylish Drew House slippers, the Rhode founder swears by a mini-sized yellow gold ticker, dubbed a TTRO (teeny tiny Royal Oak) by Dimepiece’s Brynn Wallner. Created in the early 1970s by prolific watch designer Gerald Genta, the Royal Oak was originally nicknamed the “jumbo” for its large (for the time) 39mm case, but has since been made in dozens of versions and a wide range of sizes, from dainty ones south of 30mm to beefy 44mm tourbillons. While originally marketed as a ladies’ model, a smaller case size—whether in Hailey’s Royal Oak or any other classic sports watch—looks good on stylish folks of any gender, as Timothée Chalamet continues to prove with his teeny tiny Cartier Panthere.

As one of the most iconic watches of all time, the Royal Oak has become a go-to flex for A-list celebrity watch collectors from Jay-Z and Megan Thee Stallion to the Biebs himself, who bought himself a vintage yellow gold model as a wedding present in 2019—the perfect complement to Hailey’s TTRO. That means it’s only a matter of time before we’ll see the Biebers decked out in matching gold APs, twinning Alex Moss pendants, and his-and-hers weirdo shades, cementing their status as the world’s quirkiest and most adorable fashion couple since Posh and Becks.
