Memphis Grizzlies guard Marcus Smart is expected to miss three to five weeks with a left foot sprain, the team announced Friday. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Smart sustained the injury during Tuesday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
  • The 29-year-old is averaging 12.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists through 11 games this season, all starts.
  • The Grizzlies are off to a 2-9 start and are already without star guard Ja Morant, who is suspended for 25 games. Morant is eligible to return Dec. 19.
