Aleksandar Mitrovic has been included in Fulham’s U.S. pre-season tour squad despite uncertainty surrounding his future.
Fulham have rejected two bids from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal for the Serbia international, who remains keen on the move.
Mitrovic has three years left on his contract at Fulham, and it is expected that Al Hilal will bid again for his services.
Fulham are taking a youthful squad to the United States, featuring seven under-21 players who are yet to make their competitive debuts for the club. Among them is defender Sam Amissah, who turned 16 in March.
There are other notable inclusions. Tosin Adarabioyo is named in the squad despite uncertainty about his future.
The 25-year-old defender has one year left on his contract and after the breakdown of contract talks, it is likely that he may leave the club this summer.
Andreas Pereira, who has been out of action since April with an ankle injury, is also set to travel with Marco Silva’s team.
The 27-year-old midfielder suffered a fractured ankle during Fulham’s defeat to Manchester City towards the end of last season, and had to undergo surgery. However, he has made swift progress in his recovery and it is hoped he will feature in the tour.
Fulham are travelling to the United States as part of the Premier League’s Summer Series. Their first game of the tour is against Brentford on July 23 at the Lincoln Financial Stadium in Philadelphia.
