Colts’ Anthony Richardson, Falcons’ Bijan Robinson score TDs early in debuts

Members of the 2023 NFL Draft class wasted little time finding the end zone in Week 1. Two of the first three quarterbacks selected and the first running back taken collected their first career scores in the first halves of their respective Sunday matchups. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson, the No. 4 pick, scored his first touchdown on a 2-yard run in the second quarter of Sunday’s game vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars.
  • Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young, the No. 1 pick, nabbed his first passing TD in the second quarter against Atlanta Falcons when he found Hayden Hurst with a 4-yard pass.
  • In that same game, the Falcons’ Bijan Robinson, the first running back selected this year, scored on an 11-yard reception.
  • Minnesota Vikings first-round pick Jordan Addison hauled in a 39-yard pass from Kirk Cousins for his first career score in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
