Who are the top four?

USA Today

  1. Georgia
  2. Florida State
  3. Ohio State
  4. Alabama

The same order I had them a week ago. Nothing has changed for me despite some excellent games on Saturday. Unbeaten Michigan or Washington could eventually overtake one of these teams by beating quality opponents down the stretch. But right now, Alabama is the fourth-best team in the country with the way Jalen Milroe is playing.

Team to watch Saturday

I’d circle Georgia-Ole Miss on your to-watch list. The Dawgs get their third test in a row against an Ole Miss team that has been rolling. If Georgia doesn’t move up to No. 1 in the rankings this week, a win vs. Ole Miss should do it. Michigan-Penn State is another game to watch, but the Nittany Lions will have to be much more competitive than they were against Ohio State.

The top 4 teams

  1. Georgia
  2. Florida State
  3. Ohio State
  4. Michigan

These are the top four I had last week, so there’s no reason to change after what happened Saturday. We were so close to some chaos, but Georgia (Missouri), Florida State (Pitt), Ohio State (Rutgers) and Michigan (Purdue) all did enough to win. Although none of them looked dominant in their wins, winning is all that really matters at this time of the year.
