Christina Ricci’s New Collab Has Us Very Excited for Spooky Season

Describe the style of your home in one sentence.

Our home is modern, I guess California modern.

What is one kitchen item you use every single day?

This small, small skillet. A little baby-size skillet.

What is your favorite gadget or appliance?

We have this little Miele handy vac that gets all the cat hair off the couches. I use that every day—probably twice a day.

What is your bedtime ritual?

It’s not really much of a ritual. I just wash my face, do all my skin care, change, oversee my son’s bath, put him to bed, and then I usually read in bed before going to sleep.

What is your ideal bedding setup?

My bedding is from West Elm. Also, I like to sleep on a standard pillow underneath a king-size pillow, so that I sleep almost sitting up. As I get older, it’s just the most comfortable thing.

Which room in your house is your favorite and why?

We have a really nice primary bedroom in this house. We just moved. I’ve always wanted a fireplace in my bedroom and now we have one. We also have a really pretty view.

Describe one item in your home that you brought back from a trip.

I have brought a lot of things back home. You’re gonna think this is very silly, but I got a porcelain dachshund with flowers painted on it in Amsterdam and I really, really love it. I also have a little bronze deer that I got on a trip to Nova Scotia because it looks exactly like my little dog Karen, [who] just passed away this year. I really treasure that one because it looks like my baby dog.

What object in your house has extra sentimental value?

There are a few pieces in my home that are antiques that I got in my 20s when I had my first home ever. One of them is this coffee table that was from an estate sale. It’s from the ’60s and it’s a big slab of Argentinian marble. It’s a sort of rainbow dreamy marble. It is very simple. It’s whimsical but also a little stark. I absolutely love it and have dragged it along with me for the past 25 years.

What is the oldest thing in your house?

I have my lunch box from when I was three years old. It’s a Mickey Mouse and Friends tin lunch box that still has the tag on it from my bus route. I was allowed to take the bus to preschool at that age because I’m the youngest of four and all of my older siblings were on the bus, and we lived in a small town. It has a little sticker on it and it sits in the bar as a decoration.

What is the newest thing in your house?

We bought my son a dartboard last week and it’s up in his room.

Do you have a room or area that serves an unusual purpose?
