Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler said Tuesday there is a “99 percent” chance he plays against the Dallas Cowboys on “Monday Night Football” in Week 6. Here’s what you need to know:
- Ekeler, 28, has been out since suffering an ankle injury in L.A.’s 36-34 Week 1 loss to the Miami Dolphins late in the fourth quarter after rushing for 117 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.
- The Chargers are 2-2 this season after edging the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3 and the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4. They had a bye last week.
- Joshua Kelley has put up 207 yards and one touchdown on 57 carries this season as the Chargers’ primary back.
Austin Ekeler said he expects to play this week. Said “99%” chance he plays Monday night vs. Cowboys.
