Be it the politicians of the country or businessmen, it is one of the first choices when it comes to SUVs. The Fortuner is so popular that swanky luxury car owners from Bollywood also prefer this SUV for their daily drive duties. Recently, the popular Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor was also spotted in her Toyota Fortuner.

In the video, the popular actress was spotted arriving at the Maddock Films office in Santacruz, Mumbai. The actress was seen coming out of her car. Before entering the office, she stopped and let the paparazzi click her pictures. The actress’s Toyota Fortuner is finished in the shade of Black. The exact variant of Shraddha Kapoor’s Fortuner is unknown.

Apart from the Toyota Fortuner, Shraddha Kapoor has some other humble cars in her garage as well. The “Baghi” fame actress also owns a first-generation Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and a Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback as well. She has been spotted in both these cars on numerous occasions. In the swankier side of her garage, she owns a Mercedes ML-250 CDI SUV and a first-generation BMW 3 Series sedan.

The full-size ladder-on-frame SUV Fortuner from Toyota is the best-selling SUV in its segment. It has been the top seller of its segment since its launch back in 2009. The only closest competitor to ever challenge the Fortuner’s fame was the Ford Endeavour, which was recently discontinued after Ford decided to shut down its Indian operations. Currently, the Fortuner’s competition includes Volkswagen Tiguan, MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq. The Fortuner, however, is miles ahead in terms of sales of all of these SUVs.

Currently, the Toyota Fortuner is offered with two powertrain options in India. The first is a 2.7-liter 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine produces a maximum of 163 bhp and 245 Nm of torque. Additionally, the company also offers a 2.8-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine as well. This engine generates a power output of 201 bhp and 420 Nm of torque. The Fortuner comes in both 4X2 and 4X4 layouts.

In other Toyota Fortuner news, back in August of this year, the company in Indonesia unveiled the most innovative variant of its highly popular SUV, called the Fortuner Flexi Fuel. This all-new model was displayed at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show, the largest auto show in Indonesia. Following its unveiling in the Indonesian market, there were reports suggesting that this eco-friendly variant of the Fortuner could be making its way to the Indian market as well.

The Japanese automaker revealed that this new Fortuner model gets the same 2.7-liter naturally aspirated petrol motor of the petrol-powered Fortuner. However, it has extensively worked on the fuel system of this vehicle to enable it to work with 100 percent biofuel like ethanol. Additionally, the company has also reprogrammed the Engine Control Unit (ECU) to adapt to the corrosive nature of ethanol fuel. According to the company, despite these revisions, this powerplant is still able to generate around 163 bhp of power and 243 Nm of torque. This model was only shown with an automatic transmission.
