As we all know, the conditions of the roads in India are not the very best, and high-end supercars require this essential thing. Apart from the roads, these high-performance automobiles also require a lot of skills to get their full potential out. However, not everyone is equipped with these driving skills, and this is mostly the case with the owners of supercars in India. Most recently, owing to both of these conditions, a multicore Lamborghini Huracan supercar was crashed by an ex-MLA’s teenage son in Mumbai. What’s even more shocking is that this is the second crash that this Huracan has been involved in. Previously, his wife crashed this supercar as well.
In the most recent case of the crash of this particular Lamborghini Huracan, owned by the former BJP MLA Narendra Mehta, his teenage son was behind the wheel. The video explaining the entire crash has been shared on YouTube by Prateek Singh on their channel. The video mentions that the son of Narendra Mehta was heading to his college in the morning in this orange-colored Lamborghini Huracan supercar. His son, Taksheel, according to the police reports, was on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. It was then stated that he was driving the car and suddenly lost control and rammed it into the railings of the popular bridge.
The police reports have revealed that Taksheel Mehta was speeding on the Sea Link bridge and suddenly lost control of this high-performance supercar. The report also mentions that one of the other main reasons for this lack of control was the presence of rain. The car was speeding, and due to the rain, the car hydroplaned and crashed into the railings of the bridge. Thankfully, the driver came out of the accident alive and received only a few minor injuries. He was quickly taken to the hospital for treatment.
Following the accident, the police authorities arrived at the spot on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link where this accident took place. The police then confiscated the car and took it to the police station. It has also been reported that Taksheel Mehta has been charged with cases under Section 279 for rash driving and also Section 336, which is an act of endangering life or personal safety of others. Now, at the moment, it has not been made clear where the teenage son of the MLA is, but most likely, he would have received bail by now.
Coming to the exact damage on the Lamborghini Huracan in this particular accident. From the leaked pictures, it can be noted that the entire front end of the supercar has been destroyed. Additionally, what is even more shocking is that the rear of the car has also been heavily damaged. Thankfully, there is no damage to the pillars of the vehicle, and all the airbags were deployed on time, saving the life of the teenage son. It is believed that due to hydroplaning, the car must have first hit the left barrier and then turned 360 degrees, hitting the rear portion as well.
Wife also crashed it previously
As mentioned before, this is not the first time that this particular Huracan has been a part of an accident. The first accident of this car happened on the delivery day. Former BJP MLA Narendra Mehta’s wife, Suman Mehta, was gifted this supercar, and she immediately crashed this car into an autorickshaw. The damage from that accident was very minor, and nothing was visible from first glance. Now coming to the highlight of this particular supercar, which is the Lamborghini Huracan. It comes equipped with a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine that outputs 610 bhp and 560 Nm. The car can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in just 3.2 seconds.
