Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant now available on Tata Nexon, Safari and Harrier

Tata Motors has joined hands with Amazon to introduce Alexa, the voice assistant, into its SUV range, which includes the Nexon, Nexon.ev, Harrier, and Safari. This collaboration enables drivers to use Alexa for various in-car functions, such as adjusting cabin temperature, changing airflow settings, controlling the sunroof, and activating the 360-degree camera. Moreover, customers can communicate with Alexa in English, Hindi, or Hinglish.

Alexa is not just a utility; it enhances the driving experience by allowing users to enjoy music, listen to audiobooks, play games, and even hear jokes. It helps with navigation, checking traffic conditions, making and receiving calls, managing to-do lists, and even shopping on Amazon. This integration of Alexa is part of Tata Motors’ commitment to keeping drivers safe on the road while offering a futuristic digital design in its vehicles.

Tata’s latest SUV models come equipped with touchscreen infotainment systems. The Nexon and Nexon.ev feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen, while the Harrier and Safari, recently launched, get a larger 12.3-inch unit. This not only enhances the tech offerings in these vehicles but also ensures that drivers have access to all the information they need while keeping their focus on the road.
