It was all about the music at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. Cardi B and Meghan Thee Stallion brought their new song, “Bongos” to the live stage. Nicki Minaj joined Lil Wayne, LL Cool J, and other legends for a hip hop tribute, and Olivia Rodrigo’s performance of “Vampire” had everyone on Twitter chatting. Of course, there was also Shakira’s Video Vanguard performance, *NSYNC’s reunion, and Taylor Swift’s awards sweep. Basically, the night was packed full of excitement, yet still, when the last Moon Man was handed out and the lights came on, the celebrities decided they hadn’t had enough. So, they headed out for a night of after parties on the town. Cardi B hosted an event at Somewhere Nowhere, but Selena Gomez, Ice Spice, Swift and others headed to the Ned Nomad to party with Diddy. No matter where they ended up, though, the stop called for another look, and many of the stars ditched their long gowns from earlier in the evening for shorter styles more conducive to dancing the night away. If you thought the display of looks ended at the Prudential Center, you’re quite mistaken, but don’t worry because we rounded up all the must-see after party ensembles from the 2023 MTV VMAs.
