A Closer Look at Brad Pitt's Insane Watch Collection

Pitt’s grail-packed watch rotation, just like his lengthy list of leading roles, is packed with variety. He’s not new to the hobby, either. This super sleek platinum Rolex Day-Date (likely a ref 118206) he wore in Ocean’s Twelve back in 2004 proves he’s long been a covert watch geek.

In the film, he’s behind the brains of the operation, and the meticulous planning it takes to pull off a massive heist. So the Rolex Day-Date, with its day and date windows on a cream dial genuinely hits the spot as an ideal partner in crime.

In Wallhagen’s eyes, Pitt has taken the natural route for most watch collectors. “His journey into watch collecting seems very typical of a man whose maturing taste for watches is leading him to embrace and value the beauty and diversity of vintage watches, especially those created in the ’70s, which were often quite experimental in design,” he says.

This is true of other watches he’s been clocked rocking over the years, like the hard-to-come-by Rolex Daytona Zenith 16520, and a Rolex GMT-Master II 116718. Both are now discontinued or seriously difficult to get your hands on, unless, of course, you’re Brad Pitt.
