Nottingham Forest defender Andrew Omobamidele is expected to complete a move to French club Strasbourg.
The centre-back will join the Ligue 1 side on loan, with options included in the deal to make the move permanent.
The move is not yet finalised but Omobamidele is understood to have travelled to France in order to complete the transfer.
Omobamidele had been of interest to a number of Championship clubs.
Omobamidele arrived in September 2023 as Forest rounded off a hectic transfer window with an £11million deal to sign him from Norwich City .
The 22-year-old Republic of Ireland international was regarded as being a young player with vast potential.
However, he has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at the City Ground, having made only 15 appearances in all competitions for Forest, including 12 starts.
His last appearance for Forest came in the Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle in August.
