Botanical Treasures Nursery before (L) and after (R) impact from Hurricane Helene | Perennial Plant Association (PPA)

The horticulture industry in Western North Carolina has been significantly impacted by the destruction of Hurricane Helene. Many of the tour stops at PPA’s National Symposium in Asheville, NC, are in a complete rebuild phase now.

Botanical Treasures Nursery, located in Fletcher, NC, was a tour stop on the Southern Sampler tour this past summer and was hard hit by the storms and flooding in the area. The Perennial Plant Association has laid out three ways that interested parties can help this grower bounce back:

1. If you have photos of the Botanical Treasures Nursery from the PPA tour this past summer, the nursery would like to use them in its insurance claim. Please email them at [email protected].

Please Take Greenhouse Grower’s 2024 State of the Industry Survey

2. For those able to financially donate as the nursery entirely rebuilds, please visit the set up “Rebuild Botanical Treasures Nursery after Hurricane Helene” GoFundMe.

3. Share this message with others in the industry that may feel compelled to help.
