The French automaker, Citroën, recently launched its newest mid-size SUV, the C3 Aircross, in India. The company has now started delivering this SUV to customers, and more variants of it are reaching dealerships. Recently, a video of the mid-spec Plus variant of the C3 Aircross was shared online. The presenter of the video gives a detailed walkaround of this variant from the outside as well as from the inside.

The video walkaround of the Citroën C3 Aircross has been shared on YouTube by Anubhav Chauhan on their channel. He starts off by mentioning that the Citroën C3 Aircross is offered in three variants, namely You, Plus, and Max. The one in the video is the Plus variant, which costs Rs 12.90 lakh (on-road). He adds that the company also offers a Vibe pack worth Rs 28,000, which adds some additional features.

Next, he mentions that the company offers the mid-spec Plus and top-end Max variants with optional seven-seat layouts as well. Another important note that the presenter added was that currently, the company is offering around a Rs 1 lakh discount. With this offer, it makes a lot of sense to get this SUV over the top-selling micro-SUV Tata Punch.

The presenter then starts off with the exterior design of the vehicle. He mentions that from the front, it is very hard to distinguish that the vehicle is the second base model. He adds that it comes equipped with modern-looking piano black and chrome elements. It also gets a set of halogen headlamps with halogen indicators. Apart from this, it does manage to get LED DRLs. Next, he adds that with the Vibe pack, it gets a set of halogen fog lights as well.

Next up, he shows the side profile of the vehicle where it gets a set of 17-inch steel wheels with grey-colored wheel covers. The rest of the side profile looks normal with silver plastic roof rails and black side claddings. Moving on to the rear, he adds that the Plus variant misses out on a rear wiper and washer. However, it does get a rear window defogger and a high-mounted stoplamp, as well as a spoiler.

Interior

Following the exterior walkaround, he moves to the interior of the vehicle. He shows the dual-tone interior color scheme with attractive-looking bronze elements. It also gets electric windows, controls for ORVMs, a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, manual AC, a digital instrument gauge, and fabric upholstery. He states that for the price, the interior comes equipped with a lot of features.

Why is a Citroën C3 Aircross better than a Tata Punch?

One of the most important reasons why the Citroën C3 Aircross is better than the Tata Punch is its size. The Tata Punch competes in the micro-SUV segment. However, the C3 Aircross competes in the compact SUV segment, which is two segments above the Punch. This directly translates into a bigger and better car.

The street presence of the Citroën C3 is much more than the Tata Punch. Additionally, with the bigger size, the C3 Aircross also comes with an additional third row of seats. Now, although the seats are fairly small and can be only used by children, it is still a lot roomier than the Tata Punch.

Lastly, the Citroën C3 Aircross comes equipped with a peppier 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that comes mated with a six-speed manual transmission. The C3 Aircross motor makes around 109 bhp and 190 Nm of torque and offers a claimed mileage of 18.5 kmpl. The Tata Punch, on the other hand, comes equipped with a non-turbo naturally aspirated 1.2-liter engine that makes a mere 87 bhp of power and 115 Nm of torque. The only thing better about the Punch is its mileage, which is a claimed 20.9 kmpl.
